Antique Oak Writing Box - Portable Desk - English Late 19th Century

A stunning 19th century English oak writing box in fantastic condition.

Details:

- Bramah’s locking mechanism

- Ample storage: 4 drawers, secret storage under writing slope, many compartments for letters, stationery, and books

- Solid oak

- Carved handles

Condition (Please see photos for better idea of condition):

- Missing key

- Slightly warped top

- Sticky drawer where writing utensils and inkwell are stored. The drawer feels like it will break when closed due to the wood rubbing together, however it has never done this to me. Still handle with care.

- Wood at bottom where desk hinges is loose but still working.

- Some chips and wear to corners.

This desk is being sold as-is, however this statement has no bearing on the condition or functionality of this piece. It is only being sold as-is because I simply cannot account for all small imperfections. It is in amazing condition for its age.
